News Release - August 2018 (Summer Floral Collection Wows)

When the mercury starts to rise on the thermometers in Tucson, we know it's the time of year to roll out our Summer floral collection. This year was no exception. We activated our Summer designs around the first week of June. Once again, our incredible customers reacted as expected. Sales have been strong over the past three months.  

Sunflowers

Arizona Sunflowers are one of the most popular varieties in the Tucson areas. We always include lots of floral designs in our Summer floral collection that include Sunflowers. Locally sourced Sunflowers are always some of the most beautiful in America. If you love these gorgeous flowers, we encourage you to check out these arrangements; Santa Rita Sunset, Madera Canyon Magicand Epic Day in Houston. All three of these beautiful designs have been really popular this year. 

Roses

Our Summer floral collection also includes a number of arrangements that feature Ecuadorian Roses. Many of the roses we purchase come directly from domestic and international flower farms. Purchasing roses direct has proven to be really beneficial to our firm and to our customers. When you buy direct, you eliminate the wholesalers. We are able to have the farms cut the flowers, then ship them directly to us. That ensures that our customers are able to enjoy the finest, freshest and highest quality roses available. Fresher roses means longer vase life, which usually results in much happier clients.

Sales Results

While most florists in the industry experience a real drop in sales results during the Summer months. In fact, research shows the June, July and August are historically three of the four slowest months of the year for flower shops. Our firm has continued to enjoy strong growth, even during these hot Summer days. We attribute much of that success to our strategic partnership with Flyline Search Marketing and the strength, quality and flexibility of the floral designs we included in our Summer collection. News Release - May 31, 2018 (2018 Mother's Day Sales Greatly Exceed Expectations)

Mayfield Florist just experienced the strongest Mother's Day online sales in company history. Mayfield's strong growth occurred at a time when many flower shops in the industry are experiencing a drop off in overall sales results. Mayfield Florist belongs to the Flyline Search Marketing floral group, which includes some of the floral industries most successful independent florists. The group includes industry leaders such as; Carithers Flowers in Atlanta Georgia, Pugh's Flowers in Memphis Tennessee, Veldkamp's Flowers in Denver Colorado, Allen's Flowers in San Diego California and Flowerama Columbus in Columbus Ohio. 

The owner of Mayfield Florist, Don Coleman, was extremely pleased with the performance of their strategic marketing partner, Flyline Search Marketing. Flyline was hired by Mayfield in June of 2017. Mr. Coleman credits the strong growth to the relentless approach Flyline uses. Don was also pleased with the performance of the new website that Flyline, M2 and Emerald City deployed for him. He was quoted as saying, "The new marketing program and website site really outperformed the old Media 99 site we used in the past. It was very obvious to me during the past few months that we have truly captured lightning in a bottle. Flyline and Emerald City have really changed the game for us."

In viewing Google Analytics, you can see where the improvements occurred. Online revenue is up by more than 30%, over the previous year. Sales transactions were up by more than 11%. What was really telling was that average value per sale was up by 17.11%. Overall e-commerce conversion rates improved by 25.68%. In addition to the online data, Flyline also handled the email campaign for Mother's Day. They drove dramatic increases in the overall number of sales transactions and online revenue generated from email marketing. Don Coleman was quoted as saying, "The data is clear. Mayfield Florist just experienced the best Mother's Day online results in our history."

News Release - April 18, 2018 (Don Coleman & The Centurions Hosting Tucson Fundraiser)

The Centurions will host the Tucson community for A Splish Splash Beach Bash on May 5th at Kino Sports Complex. Our annual parties are known as much for the fun as for the funds they raise for our community. We average 5,000 guests each year with hundreds of businesses sponsoring and providing prizes for our event! In our 49th year, we are the biggest and best fundraiser in Southern Arizona!

The Centurions of Southern Arizona Charitable Foundation is a 501 (c)3 charitable organization supporting a wide range of charitable organizations and projects in Southern Arizona. The Centurions membership of 100 active members includes many of Southern Arizona’s most prominent business and civic leaders. Originally founded in 1968 as an associate support group of St. Mary’s Hospital, the Centurions name was chosen to honor the one hundred years of service given to Southern Arizona by Carondelet St. Mary’s Hospital. The name further reflects member focus on business and civic leadership with the historical reference to the Roman Centurion, a leader of 100 soldiers.

Our Mission:  To support Southern Arizona charities that provide services to underserved community members in the areas of healthcare, education, and mentorship with an emphasis on improving children’s lives.

News Release - June 18, 2017 (Mayfield Florist hires Flyline Search Marketing)
