Are you looking for a way to show your appreciation for an administrative professional at work? Administrative Professionals Day is the third Friday of September, and it is also considered a national holiday. Administrative Professionals Day is a great time to show your appreciation for the people who help keep you organized and on task. You can thank them with a card or small gift or take them out to lunch and let them know how much they mean to you. The Administrative Professionals Day is a day to express appreciation for all the hardworking administrative professionals around us. It is also a time to think about how we can improve our own practices and be more effective in assisting our teams.

Here are some ideas for how to celebrate Administrative Professionals Day:

  • Send them a dish garden or flowering plant. We have a great selection on our website.
  • Send them a fresh flower bouquet. Gerbera daisies, designs including full bloom hydrangea and sunflowers tend to be really popular choices here in Arizona.
  • Send them gourmet gift basket or gift crate. There are a number of options available on our site.

Mayfield Florist offers nationwide same-day flower delivery service. We provide same-day and express delivery service in the greater Tucson metro area. Make sure your administrative professionals know just how much you appreciate the great work they do for you. Send them some beautiful fresh flowers, a green or blooming plant or a delicious gourmet gift basket.

History Of Administrative Professionals Week

Administrative Professionals Day is the brainchild of former president and founder of the National Association of Office Managers, Dorothy O. Hellwig. In 1952, Hellwig created Administrative Professionals Day to celebrate all the hard work that administrative professionals do. The first celebration was held on April 25th and it has been celebrated every year since.

Story Behind Secretaries Week

In 1956, Secretary's Week was created by the National Secretaries Association in an effort to recognize secretaries who worked within offices across America. They wanted to show their appreciation for their dedication and hard work by recognizing them with a week long celebration that would take place each year during the week leading up to Administrative Professionals Day. Since then, both days have been celebrated together as one holiday known as Administrative Professionals Week or Secretaries Week depending on where you live!
